RECYCLING & CONVERTING OF POLYMERs
From the sourcing of our raw materials to the delivery of finished products to our customers, APROTEK is committed to quality and traceability in order to meet the many technical requirements of the markets.
With 25 years’ experience under their belts, our experts have developed a portfolio of technical and innovative products to solve environmental, energy and industrial problems.
SUPERABSORBeNT polymers
They were first developed in 1938, but it was in the 1980s that they became more widely used, particularly for their impressive absorption performance in nappies.
Since the 50s, numerous studies have proved that they are harmless to health and the environment.
Since the 50s, numerous studies have proved that they are harmless to health and the environment.
There are many different types with different chemical properties: polyacrylates, polyacrylamides, copolymers, etc. Superabsorbent polymers (SAPs) form a network of carbon chains carrying carboxylic acid and carboxylate functions in controlled proportions at the time of polymerisation. What they have in common is a high capacity to absorb, retain and solidify liquids.
100% BIODeGRADABLE
APROTEK’s commitment to the environment goes beyond simply recycling its raw materials. We provide our customers with finished products that are 100% biodegradable (standard NF EN 14995) to help them further reduce their environmental footprint.
